Online Marketing Communication - How To Build Effective Visitors By Social Networking

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Building huge followings on social networks such as Twitter, and Facebook can result in your online marketing communications reaching the masses faster than any other form of marketing. Twitter allows you to have a relatively unlimited number of followers, whilst Facebook allows five thousand per account, but the power to build a massive and targeted following on both makes them both highly beneficial as marketing tools. More importantly it means viral marketing online has become accessible to all, regardless of technical ability or budget.

The rules to marketing on social networking web sites and reaping the rewards are relatively simple, but forgotten by so many. These “rules” put greater emphasis on the need for you to set yourself apart from the social networking “robots” through offering valuable communications. This is easily done by building meaningful relationships first, then getting people to like, trust and value your information and opinion.

Platforms, like Facebook for example, were conceived to give people the ability to connect with people, socially, who they wouldn’t normally get access to. Therefore, the need to focus on helping, listening, getting to know, and marketing to people through indirect and ‘out of the box’ methods is extremely important.

After all, the term “online communities” should not be used loosely within your marketing efforts as within any community you get out what you put into it. Setting aside time for pure networking with people, making useful and interesting comments on peoples posts, answering questions, and in the case of twitter Re-Tweeting users useful information is truly priceless in terms of building a following.

Without doubt, social networks are top of the list for online marketing communication and driving traffic, but as marketers, we should not abuse the very nature of why social networks were conceived. If you’re targeted with the people you add/follow and also careful not to fall into the socialite trap, on the flip side, by wasting time aimlessly surfing profiles and posts; you’ll be sure to reap the rewards both in terms of gaining profit and building valuable personal and business relationships.

Business Cards, Yellow Page Ads, And Val-Pak Coupons: What You Need To Know About Them

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

In today’s world, businesses are faced with many decisions when it comes to marketing and advertising. How do you get started? What media to use in your marketing campaigns. These are just a couple of the immediate challenges. The reality is that all of the options available will work to one degree or another. The key to your success, regardless of the medium you select, is to present yourself in a manner that appeals to your prospect. When this is understood, you can be successful regardless of your selection.

Very often people follow the generally accepted trends and styles. This happens with the clothes we wear (anyone remember Beatle Mania?), the beer we drink (what age are you) and the way we advertise in publications such as the Yellow Pages. Look in the Yellow Pages and you will see page after page of similar looking business card layouts and wording. What happens is we start to mentally purge the look-a-likes and carry on until we see something that is different.

The most interesting, and different, ads that I have seen appear as a public service announcement. They have headlines like: Warning! Don’t Even Think of Using a Travel Agent Before Calling FREE Traveler Awareness Hotline! Copy below this ad would offer free advice on how to book the best rate for your next trip. I was scanning the travel section because I was looking to book a trip. This advertisement, because it was different, caught my eye. To make it really successful it also had an 800 number at the bottom to call for a Free Report. There was no sponsor so the whole presentation was non-threatening. I was given a safe way to get information I wanted without having to speak directly to a Travel Agent whose job it is to push, and sell me.

This same method can be used regardless of the medium you select for your advertising. It can be Yellow Pages, Business Cards and Val-Pak Coupons. The key is to use the criteria that make it different, interesting and non-threatening. Even though the principles are basic there is a definite knack to this type of marketing.

There is a company that, over the last 12 years, has developed automated systems that allow business people to incorporate any type of marketing advertising into an overall Marketing Strategy. That company is Automated Marketing Solutions or AMS. They differentiate themselves by not only providing marketing solutions, but by educating their consumers on the proper techniques to use, including how to create the right message depending on the medium being used. It doesn’t stop there. AMS provides the capability for a company to place their ENTIRE Marketing Program on Auto-pilot. Once a business marketing program (including voice messages, e-mails, faxes and other broadcast and mail out collateral) is compiled and sequenced, their Lead Management System or LMS provides the unique ability to maintain and control that program without any further human input.

The benefits to this system are significant time savings on what would otherwise be labor intensive tasks. It also allows for consistency in marketing messages. It means that businesses never need worry about losing customers who misinterpreted your lack of contact for lack of follow up. Rank Better on Google and Get More Targeted Website Traffic

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Read this article to find out how to get more targeted traffic to your website who are people that will be interested in your products or services. Do what is written here and you’ll see results soon.

Usually when people go on the Internet, they are searching for something specific. What is great about the Internet is that there is a lot of information out there and you can find just about anything you are looking for by searching. What you want is your website to show up in the search engine results.

Get the Search Engine Optimization Done (SEO)

Tuning your website so that it shows up well in search rankings is called SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization. For the purposes of this article, we’re going to assume that you’ve done this work - either done yourself or by someone who specializes in SEO, like a website design firm, who can also give you a nice design. This work includes optimizing page titles with the right keywords, placing the right amount of keywords in your copy, creating the right meta tags, having search engine friendly URLs and so forth. Your domain name should be old enough and if it contains a keyword, that is good, too.

The next thing to do is rank better. This is the main thing and the main thing in doing SEO is to get incoming links. Each website that links to yours is like voting for your website. The more votes you get, the higher you rank.When you get more votes than your competition, your site moves above theirs. Links using hypertext (linked text) from sites that also rank well is optimal but a link is a link and they all help.

How To Get More Links to Your Website

Getting inbound links to your company website can be done in a few ways. The best way is when people just naturally like your site and want to link to it. You do this by providing content that is link worthy. You can also encourage people to bookmark your website on social bookmarking sites like Delicious.com. Be sure to ask friends and any business associates or vendors to link to your site. And you can always search around for related sites and propose link exchanges. Actually, you may be getting these requests already from other websites - this is why. These link exchanges are really worth doing, so let’s help each other out and do as many as we can. Don’t ignore those requests.

One secret to getting incoming links is with article marketing. What you’re reading right now is me doing article marketing. You take some time and write a useful article that is original and full of good information. It should answer a question that people may have and be useful to them. That’s why you need to take some time doing a little bit of research. That article is then submitted to article repositories and you get to include 2 incoming links back to your website down in the resource box at the end of the article.

The key to submitting articles is that the article needs to be totally original on each article directory that it appears on. It could take hours and hours to write and then re-write an article over and over and doing that is probably not worth your time. You would also then need take time to submit each article, which is also very labor intensive. Well, as you might have guessed, there’s an easier way. It’s called the Unique Article Wizard.

What the Unique Article Wizard does is automatically submit your article to many article websites (most rank pretty well and Google knows about them) and also creates unique versions of each article for you. I’ve used it many times and I’ve seen traffic and Google’s PageRank go up on those sites - and that’s the idea, right?

Writing an article using the Unique Article Wizard does take some time. It’s true. But in comparison to how much time it would have taken you to rewrite your article, it’s really nothing. If you have writer’s block, then don’t worry. You can hire people on sites like Elance.com to do the writing for you for a good price. When I sit down to do some writing, I try to remember AIDA, which means:

* Attraction

* Interest

* Desire

* Action

That is what your article needs to do and do it in that order. It must grab attention. If it doesn’t, then people will never read it and get to the next part, which is get their interest and then turn it into desire. You then end it with a call to action. One way to accomplish of all this is to write a “how to” type of article. These grab attention nicely and lots of people type the words “how to” into Yahoo when they go online to search.

You’ll then go through the online wizard that’s available, where you adjust each paragraph a little and then it submits your article for you. I usually have it submit about 60 a day and aim for it to be submitted to 500-600 or more directories. Not bad, right?

Then usually within a week or two, you will start to see more traffic coming to your website. search engines will also see more sites that link to your website and that gets you higher rankings. One goal may be to write and submit 1 article per week and you would see great results by just doing that. Many people are doing that very thing, so you know it’s working. Be sure to take your time doing it and include really good information in your articles. That’s key. You will look like an expert in your industry and people will come to your website for more information.

Automated Lead Generation, Multi-Step Marketing, and Your Business

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

We are talking about relationships when we talk about marketing. We know that the positive relationships are based on regular contact through a variety of different methods. We call our friends; send cards and flowers to our wives, and employ many other ways of demonstrating our affection to those we care about. When setting out to develop a successful Marketing Campaign it is recommended that we follow this same line of thought.

Selling today is a multi-step process because it has been demonstrated that up to 95% of the people you may touch with your advertising will not yet be in a purchasing mode. This makes it essential to maintain contact with anyone who responds to your marketing efforts. You build the relationship and condition them to the fact that you can be trusted and are knowledgeable about your product or service. This way when the time to purchase arrives, your company will be the one that they associate a solution to their need with.

Although the solution to our marketing challenges sounds simple when we condense it into a couple of brief paragraphs, the reality is quite different. The following scenario is an example of what I mean. Imagine you attract 20 new prospects every month through your marketing and you touch base with each prospect 3 times every month. Touching a prospect 3 times in a month is not excessive by the way. Over a period of 6 months, following this same pattern, you would have to manage 1,260 touches. If you are doing it properly you are also doing this through different media. Imagine the time constraints managing this type of activity would put on your day. The unfortunate reality is that you can’t afford not to do this when statistics demonstrate that you will close 75% more prospects when you DO stay in touch with them over the course of a year.

Recently I came across a company that has spent the last 12 years developing a systematic and fully media featured marketing program that has automated a multi-step marketing capability. That company is Automated Marketing Solutions or “AMS”. AMS provides a full suite of marketing technology tools and processes that allow any company to deliver a comprehensive marketing program using tested and proven methods. But the most significant aspect of their development is that the entire process can be automated. They refer to it as putting your marketing on Auto-Pilot. Heres how it works. Once a business marketing program (including voice messages, e-mails, faxes and other broadcast and mail out collateral) is compiled and sequenced, their Lead Management System or LMS provides the unique ability to manage and control that program without any further human interaction. It captures leads that respond to marketing and places them into the appropriate program for follow up by the LMS itself. Very little, if any, human interaction is required. The benefits to this system are significant time savings on what would otherwise be labor intensive tasks and consistency in marketing messages.

An additional benefit of using their LMS is the retention capabilities of the system. As we know, once you have sourced and converted a prospect, your next most important task is to keep them as a customer. Using AMS Lead Management System means that businesses never need worry about losing customers who misinterpreted their lack of contact for lack of interest. Finally, because of AMS years of experience in building multi-media marketing programs they are able to assist and educate their users on the best methods to use as they build their own campaigns.

If you would like to hear more about Lead Management Systems and how it can benefit your business, visit Automated Marketing Solutions today. You will be surprised at how quickly and economically you can implement and start benefiting from AMS tested and proven technology and experience.
